In the future, the expertise of genome and proteome analyses will influence the selection of breeding populations and the production of high-quality foods more and more.
With the "Molekularbiologischen Zentrum" this development is taken into account. The aim is to establish a modern technological platform for a research at the highest level and competent teaching in the molecular-biological area. The "Molekularbiologische Zentrum" is open to all interested researchers of the faculty.
The concentration of the molecular work of the faculty in the central lab supports:
- an efficient utilisation of provided funds
- further development of modern molecular genetic working practices
- interdisciplinary supply of methodical know how
