Laying a net across mountain valleys and plains: Managing water through distributed property rights, Wyoming 1890-2010

Start: September 2005
End: June 2012

A case study of a water management system in arid conditions in the Western U.S., in the isolated, low population state of Wyoming. The project examines over 100 years of history of the Wyoming system of property rights in water to determine whether this system has the capacity to be resilient - absorbing and adjusting to disturbance.
