First Berlin Forum on Indian Agriculture



First Berlin Forum on Indian Agriculture: WINS (Berlin Workshop in Institutional Analysis of Social-Ecological Systems) in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Embassy of the Republic of India in Berlin, organized the First Berlin Forum on Indian Agriculture on 20th October, 2014. The forum was a common platform where young researchers in Germany who engage with Indian policy issues came together to exchange knowledge and ideas with German stakeholders. The session opened with welcome addresses by the Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Ms. Shubhdarshini Tripathi and Prof. Konrad Hagedorn, Chair of Resource Economics at Humboldt University Berlin. There were four sessions where a total of 12 presentations by young researchers were made on various topical issues related to Indian agriculture, the challenges and its prospects. The event concluded with some prominent guests sharing a panel session with their observations on future course of research as well as more fruitful interactions with industry and think tanks. 24/10/2014
