IGA-Workcamps „Green Professions"

Our current BMBF-ESF funded project IGA Workcamps „Green Professions" in collaboration with IGA (International Garden Exhibition) Berlin 2017 aims to provide insights and orientation in the green professions to young persons and to develop concepts of vocational education for sustainable development. This project also includes research on project-based learning at university level.

As a focal group on environmental education research, we have established a project IGA Workcamps – green vocational education for sustainable development. In this project not only forms of vocational orientation for the “green” professions are developed and studied in collaboration with the International Horticultural Exhibition (IGA) Berlin 2017, but also alternative concepts of learning and teaching at the university level are explored.

The student working group who develop and conduct the “green” workcamps are coordinated and supervised by Dr. Shigeo Watanabe. In our administrative tasks in that project and the entire unit we are supported by Ms. Renate Busse.
