Professor Klasen holds a chair of Development Economics at the University of Göttingen. He published numerous books and articles in the field of growth & unequality, food security & rural development. Since 2013, he represents Germany in the Economic and Social Council, ECOSOC of the UN.
This Lecture will be organised by the Centre for Rural Development (SLE) at Albrecht Daniel Thaer-Institute of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.
