International Master In Rural Development

* listed in the Catalogue of ERASMUS MUNDUS Joint Master Degrees for funding under the ERASMUS+ Programme by the European Commission between 2020 and 2023/24

 

The master programme Rural Development (IMRD) runs under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission and is offered by six European universities: Ghent University (Belgium), Humboldt University Berlin (Germany), Agrocampus Ouest (France), Cordoba University (Spain), Nitra Agricultural University (Slovakia) and Pisa University (Italy). Together, the partner universities award a joint MSc degree.


Students can also go for a semester or the case study to the affiliated partner universities in third countries: University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore (India), Nanjing Agricultural University and China Agricultural University (China), Can Tho University (Vietnam) and University of Pretoria (South Africa).


Applications including requests for scholarships have to be made to Ghent University as the coordinating organisation of the overall programme: www.imrd.ugent.be


Additionally, the IMRD Programme offers three specific study tracks:  

  • ATLANTIS: The study track is organized in cooperation with the University of Arkansas (USA) awarding a Double MSc Degree in Rural Development and Agricultural Economics.
  • EKAFREE: The study track is offered in cooperation with two South Korean Universities awarding either a Double MSc Degree in Rural Development and Agricultural Economics (Seoul National University) or a Double MSc Degree in Rural Development and Economics (Korea University).
  • EERUDEV: The study track is offered in cooperation with the Ecuadorian Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) leading to a Double MSc Degree in Rural Development.
