15.07.2018 Small Wind Turbine installed in Gaza

The small wind turbine was successfully installed on the roof of the Palestine Technical College. It will help us to assess the wind energy potential of Gaza based on measurements.

This is part of the project "Potential of Wind Energy in Urban Areas: Gaza City as a Case Study" funded by BMBF and MoEHE. The related feasibility study can be found here: https://doi.org/10.3390/en10081229.

11.04.2018 New Course Announcement Master AgEcon: FM 28 Applied Data Analysis

This summer term, the Quantitative Agricultural Economics Group offers a new course “FM 28: Applied Data Analysis”.

The course is a mixture of lectures and exercises and consists of an introduction to data analysis and a practical application with R. It focuses on data preprocessing, modelling, and visualization. If you plan to write a quantitative master thesis and to gain some programming experience, the course will be helpful.

It takes place in the seminar room 2.21 (Philippstr. 13, Haus 12) on Fridays from 8 to 12 (starting on 20.4.2018).
