Dr. Claudia Coral and Prof. Dr. Mithöfer participated in the Sustainable Food Systems Symposium held on September 17-18, 2024, with several pre-conference workshops held on September 16, 2024.

Dr. Claudia Coral presented findings from the Horizon Europe Watson project on "Re-conceptualising vulnerability to food fraud within a social justice framework: Preserving the authenticity of Spanish honey”.

The symposium was organized by the Research Training Group "Sustainable Food Systems" of the University of Göttingen in cooperation with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and KU Leuven. The symposium was dedicated to exploring the dynamic and vital facets of the evolving agri-food landscape from an economic and social science perspective.

Dr. Claudia Coral and Prof. Dr. Mithöfer brought social justice perspectives as part of larger discussions to identify pathways to more sustainable food production and consumption under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
