Quarterly Journal of International Agriculture

Contributions

QJIA will be closed down at the end of 2015 and thus cannot receive any new submissions.

The editors invite contributions to the Quarterly Journal of International Agriculture. Articles should be original and must not have been submitted for publication elsewhere. The articles are evaluated by two independent, anonymous reviewers and the results of the reviewing process are made known to the author. The editors reserve the right to reject an article or to suggest to the author any modifications necessary for publication. In your cover letter please include two reviewer suggestions with contact details and a brief justification.

Contributors should take note of the following:

  • Articles should be written in English.
  • They should not exceed 20 typewritten pages, including abstract, tables, figures and references.
  • The text should be written 1.5-spaced, Times New Roman, 11 pt.
  • An abstract of no more than 150 words should precede the text, followed by up to five keywords and the JEL classification.
  • Except for the first letter, headings, including tables and figures, should be in small letters, bold typing, and numbered consecutively. Section headings should be numbered according to the decimal system (1., 1.1, 1.1.1).
  • Tables, formulae and figures (in black - no colors or grey color in graphs; black/white shadings are preferred; lines at least 0,75 pt) should appear in the text where they are first mentioned.
  • Footnotes (not endnotes!) should be numbered consecutively and kept to a minimum.
  • Appendices should also be kept to a minimum and appear at the end of the article.
  • References are cited in the text by giving the name of the author, year of publication, and, if a direct quote, the page number. The name of the author should be written in small capitals (no capital letters)(examples see below).
  • Acknowledgements should be placed after references.
  • The full address of the authors (incl. phone, fax, e-mail) should be written on a separate page. Please mark the corresponding author.
  • The editor should receive the article in electronic form as e-mail attachment or on disc (Word for Windows 1997 and higher) and one copy of the printed version.
