 Ziele:

  • Students should be familiar with major international agricultural and food policies,
  • the students should be able to assess specific policy problems and prepare solutions,
  • students should be able to analyze and evaluate policy instruments.


 Inhalte:

  • Principles of applied welfare economics
  • Price policy: comparative advantage and protectionism
  • Price policy: price ratios, structural change and exchange rates
  • Structural policy
  • Multiobjective policy analysis
  • EU agricultural policy
  • Agricultural policy in transition countries
  • EU enlargement and accession
  • Rural finance in development
  • Structural adjustment policies



 Methoden:

Lecture (50%) and exercises (50%)
