  • SUNRISE Follow-up Workshop: From 3rd to 5th October 2011 members of the Sino-German research cooperation SUNRISE met at the Department of Resource Economics. Participants from the Chinese Agricultural University Beijing, the Agricultural University Nanjing and the Zheijiang University Hangzhou discussed current research findings and their future cooperation opportunities.
  • Oscar Schmidt and Lars Berger (PhD students at the Division of Resource Economy) participated in the Thor Heyerdahl Summer School's 'Environmental Governance' course at UMB from 20 June to 1 July 2011. The participants were young researchers and PhD fellows from 20 countries. Further information.

  • In-between 22. and 26 August 2011 the Division of Resource Economics and collaboration with the Division for Horticultural Production and VÖW, and SNEEP held a Summer Academy on Sustainable Value Chains. 25 Students from all over Germany attended and worked on problem identification and solutions for value chains in food production, renewable energy and textiles.   • On July 8th the first HIP Workshop will took place from 3 pm to 7 pm. Aim of this workshop is information exchange of all Indian-related projects at the Humboldt University.   • Fachtagung 'SUNRISE Methoden Workshop, Berlin 2010: Im Rahmen der deutsch-chinesischen Forschungskooperation SUNRISE (Nachhaltige Nutzung natürlicher Ressourcen aus einer institutionellen Perspektive) fand vom 15. - 17. November 2010 ein Methoden-Workshop am Fachgebiet Ressourcenökonomie statt. Teilnehmer der Chinesischen Universität der Agrarwissenschaften, Peking; der Agrarwissenschaftlichen Universität Nanking; der Zhenjiang Universität, Hangzhou und der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin diskutierten wissenschaftliche Methoden ihrer aktuellen Feldforschungen. Keynote-Redner waren Prof. Dr. Daniel W. Bromley, Universität von Wisconsin, Madison und Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Konrad Hagedorn, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.
  • The Division of Resource Economics organized the Albrecht Daniel Thaer Kolloquium 2010 on the theme “Towards an integrated study of social-ecological systems, interactions, and dynamics: The empirical and conceptual foundations of “fit””. This international workshop, in which 25 internationally renown scholars have agreed to participate, took place between 18.-19. November 2010 at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
  • Fachtagung '20 Jahre Agrargenossenschaften' am 19. Oktober 2010. Das Fachgebiet Kooperationswissenschaften übernahm im Rahmen der 200-Jahr-Feierlichkeiten der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin die Organisation der Fachtagung: "20 Jahre Agrargenossenschaften - Ein europäischer Vergleich und Blick in die Zukunft".
