Research Interests


Present ongoing research interests and activities focus on (1) Institutional changes on land use after transformation process in Bulgaria; (2) Impact of multifunctional agriculture on rural area in Bulgaria; (3) Landscape governance; (4) Rural development in Bulgaria. Conceptual interests are focused on role of institutions in rural development and institutional changes on land use (other resources) in Bulgaria. Previous research interest focused on agrarian reform in Bulgaria during transition and the impact on land fragmentation in Bulgaria on (1) property rights, (2) land markets - sale and rental markets, and (3) agricultural contracting. Implementation of case studies. Background in economics, environmental and resource economics, institutional economics and political economy, land management and farm management.
